Ernie Campo, President of E.A. Campo and Associates.  E.A. Campo and Associates is a domestic and international consulting firm, specializing in marketing to the credit card consumer. He has over 30 years experience and business accomplishments over the retail, catalog, and banking industries.  Ernie has held numerous executive positions inside Morgan Stanley, Discover Card, Prime Option MasterCard, and Sears Roebuck & Company. 

His background and business experience includes extensive work with business start-ups and proven results involving businesses with aggressive growth targets.  He was a key player in the strategic planning and launching of Discover Card.  This resulted in many successful marketing accomplishments spanning the first fifteen years of its history.  Ernie has a unique background in the retail/catalog/and financial services field and understands the needs and requirements necessary to launch successful programs. 

E.A. Campo & Associates was started in 2000 to fill a specific niche in the retail, catalog, restaurant and internet businesses seeking to improve an existing credit card business or those companies interested in investigating the feasibility of starting a profitable one.  Ernie knows the key players in the private label and co-branded field and has success matching the right issuer and client to the specific project in order to meet the desired results. 

Ernie has done bank searches, strategic planning, brand positioning, portfolio sales, loyalty / rewards programs, RFP’s and marketing audits to improve a portfolio’s performance.  Some of the recent retail, catalog, and financial institutions that have been consulted on these type projects:

Ernie has earned both an undergraduate in Psychology and an MBA in Marketing from Michigan State University.  He also attended the University of Michigan Executive Center for Finance.
